Myanmar Meetei named for Leirikmacha award

Imphal, November 18 2023: Phurailatpam Chandrakumar of Mandalay in Myanmar has been selected for the Thiyam Leirikmacha International Award, which is presented biennially by Sahitya Thoupang Lup (SATHOULUP) .

In a release, SATHOULUP informed that the award will be presented to Chan-drakumar in appreciation of his efforts in promoting and safeguarding Manipuri language and culture in Myanmar.

The award consisting of Rs 10,000, citation and stole will be presented on the occasion of the 20th foundation day of SATHOULUP on November 25 .
