Imphal, March 01 2024: The Arambai Tenggol has lauded the unanimous resolution taken by the Manipur Legislative Assembly on Thursday to ask the Government of India to abrogate Suspension of Operation (SoO) agreement with Kuki-Zo militant groups.

In a release, Arambai Tenggol also conveyed its heartfelt gratitude to Union Home Minister Amit Shah for the landmark decision to fence the entire 1643 km Indo-Myanmar border and withdraw the Free Movement Regime (FMR) .

Arambai Tenggol also appealed to the Government to discuss the demand of the people for implementation of National Register of Citizens (NRC), replacing Assam Rifles with other Central Force to guard the border and removal of "illegal immigrants" from the Scheduled Tribe list in the Assembly session.
