Cash award on Khaplang, Sumi

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday announced a cash reward for any information on two NSCN-K militants who are wanted in a case of attack of armed personnel.
A NIA spokesperson said that a cash reward of Rs 10 on Niki Sumi, the head of armed wing of NSCN-K while Rs 7 lakh reward has been announced for info on group's chief SS Khaplang.
The spokesperson said that two absconding militants of NSCN-K are wanted in various cases of attacks on armed forces in which many army personnel had been killed in North-Eastern region of India.
"S S Khaplang is head of the NSCN (K) group while Niki Sumi is holding the charge of armed wing of the militant group and they are wanted in several cases of attacks on armed forces jawans," the spokesperson said, adding that the duo were closely associated with the decision to attack Assam Rifles personnel at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima on March 3, 2015 .
The NIA spokesperson said that the duo are also wanted in subsequent string of attacks on armed forces including the attack on 6 Dogra Regiment Convoy in Chandel district of Manipur on June 4, 2015 in which 18 Army personnel were killed.
He added that any person from public, giving any reliable information about the whereabouts of these hard core terrorists, leading to their arrest will be rewarded money reward as mentioned above.
The identity of the informer will be kept secret.
