SFs recover fake notes, weapons

Imphal, February 08 2024: A combined team of Churachandpur district police and 9 Assam Rifles seized several weapons along with fake currency notes during a search operation conducted at Dampi village under Churachandpur police station from 10am till 2.40 pm Thursday.

According to a police report, the state and central security forces recovered two single barrel guns of 12mm bore (country made) with three rounds, one 9mm pistol (country made), one 303 rifle (No.4 MK 1/2 AU 19374F 55 FTR), two rounds of 7.62mm, one improvised long range heavy mortar (6ft) with two mortar shells, one improvised long-range mortar (4ft), six fake notes of Rs 200 denomination, shoes and one bag.

The fake currency notes and weapons were handed over to Churachandpur PS for further action.
