Speaking at the event, Prof Gambhir explained that the seminar has been organised with the objective of spreading awareness among academicians, particularly research scholars, about the issues related to culture, literature, language and education in the northeast region of the country.
He also stressed the importance of publishing articles on such issues in journals.
Providing awareness in multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary themes will help expand existing knowledge base of students, research scholars and assistant professors, he expressed while pointing out that as Manipur has no UGC-care listed journals, the state's national ranking and NAC assessment is not high.
As such, the seminar will be of great benefit to many, as many experts in different fields will be sharing their knowledge during the technical sessions, he said.
