Abonmai's body kept at RIMS Morgue

Imphal, September 24 2021:
The mortal remains of Athuan Abonmai, who was abducted by unknown persons from the venue of the 'Go to Hills 2.0' programme attended by chief minister N Biren on September 22 and found brutally killed, are being kept at RIMS Morgue.
His body was brought to Imphal late Thursday night by a team of Tamenglong police station accompanied by Lamlaba villagers.
So far, no post-mortem examination has been done on the corpse.
Meanwhile, according to police reports, police have recovered a hammer and other tools suspected to have used to slay Abonmai from near the scene of crime.
On the other-hand, security forces despatched to conduct searches at suspected hideouts of the perpetrators have reportedly been advised by the higher authorities to cease the search after they reached Kabouram village in the district
afternoon on Friday.
