Thoubal, March 15 2024: The "Lamp lighting and Oath taking Ceremony" of GNM 3rd Year batch 2023-24 students studying at The GNM Training School, Thoubal was held at the School ground located within the premises of District Hospital, Thoubal on Friday.

The event was attended by Health Services additional director Dr N Hemantakumar, Thoubal CMO Dr Y Nokul, deputy director (Nursing) Th Suneeta Devi, Manipur Nursing Council registrar A Jamuna Devi and School principal N Memchoubi Devi as members on the dais.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Hemantakumar highlighted target of the government to make India a developed country by 2024 with special focus on the health sector.

He continued that the sector cannot develop or improve with just doctors or modern equipment, and pointed out that the nursing profession plays an important role in this regard.

Thus, he appealed to all those who opted for the profession to work sincerely.
