The body of a man and remnants of three burnt human bodies are lying at JNIMS Mortuary, said Sugnu police today.
The body of the man was recovered from Serou Makha Leikai on May 29, and a postmortem was conducted at JNIMS on June 1 .
Later, the deceased was identified as Paochon (42) son of (L) Ngulseithang of Sangaikot village according to SP Churachandpur, said the Sugnu police in a press statement.
The bone remnants and charred body parts of three persons were recovered on June 2 .
Remnants of a fully burnt charred body-parts suspected to be of a human was found at H Gamnom Village.
Bone remnants of a second human body were found at the campus of Christian English School, Langching village.
Bone remnants of a third human body were found at a paddy field located north of Langching village.
Postmortem of the remains of the bodies have been conducted at JNIMS Mortuary, but the deceased have not been identified yet and claimed by their families till date, said the Sugnu police.
The bodies lying at JNIMS Mortuary, Porompat are causing health hazards even as the Supreme Court has given a direction to dispose of unclaimed bodies within a week, said the police statement.
