Anal tribe endorses Naga people's affirmation

Chandel, September 01 2015: Anal Naga people in a consultative meeting held on Tuesday at MACA hall endorsed the Naga People's affirmation made at Naga People's Consultative Meeting on "Indo-Naga political talks" at Niathu Resort, Dimapur on August 25 .

A declaration jointly signed by presidents of ANTA, ALT, ASR, ALCA and ANTA general secretary, which was made available to media, expressed appreciation and acknowledgement to the Government of India and NSCN (IM) for signing the framework agreement which would lead to an acceptable and honourable settlement to the Naga issue.

It was also declared to reiterate and uphold the resolutions of Naga People's Consultative Meeting and declared that the Naga people in the spirit of forgiveness and oneness would ceaselessly strive and work for restoring unity.

Tuesday's meeting was attended by Anal civil society organisations, chiefs, women, intellectuals, public leaders, students, church leaders and youth from across the Anal areas.
