SBI donates iron almirah to children home

Imphal, March 15 2024:
State Bank of India (SBI) handed over 26 numbers of Iron Almirah for residents of Imagi Masaikol Children Home in Imphal East district, on Thursday.
The items were provided under the Children Welfare Upgradation of Orphanage initiative taken up as part of the corporate social responsibility (CSR) of SBI.
The iron almirah have been provided for each of the 26 children residents of the home.
Speaking on the occasion, SBI Regional Business Office manager Khumukcham Okendro declared that distribution of items including iron almirah under its CSR programme will continue for the welfare of the society.
Social Welfare director Ng Uttam, who was also present at the distribution event, noted that unlike SBI and Airports Authority of India, which have been taking up various people-oriented activities under its CSR, no other corporate sectors could be seen or heard engaged in such acts of benevolence.
Many people also are not aware of the CSR activities of corporate sectors, he opined and appealed to all concerned to extend help to children, old age and disables homes which do not receive much funding from government and funding agencies.
