Imphal, September 20 2013 :
Students of Manipur Institute of Technology (MIT) took out a protest rally here on Friday to push for immediate replacement of the institute's Principal-in-charge.
The rally was organised to protest the indifferent attitude shown by the concerned authority that has chosen to remain silent over the issue, the agitating students said.
The student protestors numbering hundreds held banner and placards during the rally that began from the institute's complex at Takyelpat in Imphal West district.
However, they were forced by a large number of police to turn back from Tera bazaar.
The student protestors were heading towards the Raj Bhavan.
Yet, the protesters resumed the demonstration at the complex.
