DPC faced candidates warn stir

All Manipur Assistant Election Supervisor DPC Faced Candidates 2014 has warned of launching various forms of agitation in case the State Government fails to declare the DPC results by May 30 .
Announcing this during a press conference held at Manipur Press Club here today, secretary of the organisation, N Netaji said that notification for recruitment to Assistant Election Supervisors was issued on February 26, 2014 followed by written test on July 20, 2015 and result for 414 successful candidates was declared on September 26, 2015 .
He maintained that typing test was conducted on October 5 and 6 and result for 327 qualified candidates was declared on October 13 followed by personal interview held from October 19 to 23 at the office of Chief Election Office, Lamphelpat.
He said that Chief Secretary O Nabakishore was the Chief Electoral Officer before the charge was handed over to Vivek Kumar Dewangan.
Final results of the recruitment was kept in abeyance on account of the 11 th State Assembly election after which 16 successful candidates jointly filed a petition in the High Court of Manipur, he said.
Acting on the petition, a single bench of the Court directed respondent of the case to declare the results within a month after the Assembly election, he continued.
Alleging that the present Government failed to obey the order passed by the Court, he warned of taking -up various forms of agitation if the Government fails to declare the results by May 30 .
