Khongnangthaba University celebrates 3rd Foundation Day

The 3rd Foundation Day of Khongnangthaba University was celebrated today at its campus in Khurai Konsam Leikai, Imphal East district.
According to a release issued by Dr Atom Sunil Singh, Registrar, Khongnangthaba University, the 3rd Foundation Day of Khongnangthaba University was marked with a significant milestone- the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Barefooter School, Pune.
The MoU aims to offer short-term job-oriented courses and startup training, enhancing the employability and entrepreneurial skills of the youth in Manipur.
The collaboration intends to contribute significantly to the socio-economic development of the region.

The Foundation Day celebration was attended by Prof N Joykumar Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Khongnangthaba University; Dr A Guneshwor Sharma, Dean & Director of AYUSH, Khongnangthaba University; Prof Gurusamy Mariappan, St Mary College of Pharmacy, Secunderabad; Prof Nilimanka Das, Regional Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Tripura; Dr Anindam Chaudhuri, Scientist (Agriculture) & Corporate Advisor, and Avinash Salunke, founder of Pestosys LLP as presidium members.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Dr P Jugesghor Singh, Deputy Controller of Examination, Khongnangthaba University, followed by a keynote address from Dr Atom Sunil Singh.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Atom Sunil Singh highlighted the university's emergence as the first private university under the Manipur Private University Act of 2021 and Recognised under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act of 1956 .
He emphasized the institution's commitment to preserving traditional knowledge, as evident by its registration under the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) and inclusion in the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) .
Dr Atom Sunil Singh announced the university's application for recognition as an Examination Body by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) .
He also shared that the Khongnangthaba University is set to apply for UGC 12(b) status and accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and membership with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) .
