Achieving goal of a movement with weapons and force is irrelevant in the changing global scenario.
As there is change in the world every second, it is important to launch movement in commensurate with the changing scenario.
EPOM had never raised voice for surrender of revolutionary organisations or laying down arms but strongly called for alternative way for achieving goal of revolution particularly through peace process as it is natural to hold peace talks to end war, he said, adding that holding political dialogue and ceasefire cannot be considered as surrender.
He maintained that holding political dialogue could be seen as a strategy and new way to achieve goal of the prolonged armed revolution in Manipur.
Advocate Y Devdutta further said that the peace accord signed by the Pambei led UNLF after a long-armed movement has created a new dimension in the history of Manipur and lauded chief minister N Biren Singh for taking major responsibility in bringing this change.
