Imphal, June 07 2009:
The 15-Days Adventure Mountaineering Course organised by the Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association (MMTA) under the CRPF, Manipur and Nagaland Sector at MMI Complex, Lamdan as part of the Civic Action Programme of the 32nd battalion CRPF has concluded today.
Altogether 120 youths including 8 girls and 3 trainees from Arunachal Pradesh participated the training course which concludes today.
Th Jiten was awarded the title of best trainee of the camp.
M Billu, Abuanan and W Sonia won the first, second and third place of Cross Country race for Women respectively.
In Cross Country race for Men's category, Terikulak, Mini Gongo and M Rahul clinched the first, second and third position respectively.
Commandant, 32nd battalion CRPF, BB Vaid, President, AMJWU, S Hemanta, President, ISTV, Kh Kuleswar, Chief Engineer, NHPC Loktak Co, Shahi, Retired Director, NAF, Achou and President, MMTA L Surjit were the presidium members of the closing ceremony held today.
Commandant, 32nd battalion CRPF, BB Vaid awarded a sum of Rs 1000 each to the cultural troops of Lamdan and MMI students.
He also assured to organise a North East Level Adventure Youth Festival very shortly.
MMTA President, Kuleshwar said that organising such camps will help the youths of the state in making a beter career in the field of adventure sports.
AMJWU President, Hemanta encorage the trainees to become a successful person in their future life.
