33rd Sub-Jr & Jr Natl Aquatic C'ship Hiren sets new Natl record

Imphal, June 30 2016:
State young swimmer Hiren Sagolsem clinched his second gold medal today by setting a new National record on the second day of the ongoing 33rd Sub-Junior National Aquatic Champion-ship, organised by the Swimming Federation of India, today at Bangalore.
In the Boys' Group-3 50 m freestyle event, Hiren Sagolsem broke the National record by finishing on 26.47 sec.
The previous National record � 26.56 sec was set by Sajay C of Karnataka in 2004 .

On the second day of the championship, Swades Mandal also made history by setting two National records in the Boy's Group-3 200 m medley and 100 breaststroke events.
Depika Amin of Maharashtra also set a new National record in the 100 m breaststroke of Girl's Group-3 .
