AR inaugurates Computer Lab at Moreh College

Moreh Battalion of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(South) constructed a computer lab at Moreh College, Moreh in Tengnoupol District.
The inauguration programme started with felicitation of Commandant Moreh Battalion, ADC and ADC member by the Principal, Moreh College and culminated with refreshments and Jazz band playing the popular local tunes which was enjoyed by all.
Commandant Moreh Battalion and ADC gave a motivational talk to students and explained the importance of technology in today's digital era where knowledge of computer is becoming a mandatory requirement for a flourishing career.
The computer lab was inaugurated by Sarangthem Nolini Chanu, a student of BSc Botany, 5th semester, Moreh College in the presence of Commandant, Moreh Battalion.
During the inauguration ceremony, CSOs of various communities were also present.
Principal, Moreh College, CSOs leaders and the students lauded the efforts of Assam Rifles for its noble gesture and appreciated the continued efforts of Assam Rifles in providing basic amenities to people.
It may be mentioned that Moreh College had full fledged labs for science department but non-availability of any computer lab was affecting the professional and technical knowledge of students in this digital era.
To fill up the gap, Moreh College projected the need for a computer lab from Assam Rifles and in its effort to help residents of border areas, the project of computer lab was conceived by Assam Rifles under the Border Areas Development Programme.
The work started expeditiously and construction of the computer lab was done within 40 days.
