Jiribam teachers extend full support to agitation of JTF

Jiribam, July 20 2019:
Teachers based in Jiribam held a press conference at Jiri News Network conference hall today to express their solidarity to any action taken up by Joint Teachers Forum (JTF), an Action Committee formed in an emergency meeting held by the teaching community at Johnstone Higher Secondary School yesterday, against the Revision of Pay 2019 (ROP 2019) rules order.
In the press meet, L Phantomash Singh expressed disappointment over the callous attitude of the State Govt towards the teaching community regarding the ROP 2019 .

He continued that the pay structure in the ROP 2019 do not commensurate the selfless duties rendered by the teachers for the students and urged the authority concerned to rectify pay structure at the earliest.
Teaching community of Jiribam district will extend full support to three days mass casual leave called by JTF, he added and cautioned the State Govt to act swiftly before the agitation turn more violent and severe.
Teachers from various LP School, Primary School and High School of the district turned up to attend the press meet On the other hand, a joint meeting was held by the teachers at Jiribam Hr Sec School and resolved to support the agitation taken up by Joint Teachers Forum (JTF) following which teachers of Borobekra Hr Sec School took mass casual leave to support the agitation.
Speaking to the media persons, Lecturer, Borobekra Hr Secondary School, Mongjam Ranjan Singh said that teachers of the school took the decision to take mass casual leave in support of the resolution taken by JTF in a meeting organized by All Manipur Teachers Forum at Johnstone Higher Secondary School yesterday which saw participation from Primary teacher, Graduate teacher and Higher Secondary Lecturer, against the lack of concern of the State Govt towards the teaching community.
