Imphal, December 07 2014:
Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Francis Ngajokpa was literally fuming on seeing that making furniture items including beds for Bendremai Residential School was still incomplete.
Bendremai Residential School is located at Bendremai village within Tadubi Assembly segment about 155 Kms from Imphal.
The Minister was visible annoyed that making of furniture items was still incomplete even after Rs 7 lakh was sanctioned for the same purpose.
Nonetheless, the Minister felt some relief on seeing the school and hostel buildings.
Speaking at a gathering held at the village on December 5, Francis Ngajokpa maintained that different projects taken up at remote areas of the State were clear testimonies of the State Government's intention for uniform development regardless of topography.

In tune with the people's decades old wish, the Maram-Peren road was declared a National Highway by the Government of India on March 4 this year.
This was a big achievement of the State Government.
Upliftment of the relatively backward Tadubi A/C demands people's cooperation.
But it would be disastrous if the villagers repose their faith in people coming from outside Manipur rather than confiding their wishes and aspirations to Manipuri natives.
Capitalising on the Minister's visit, the Development Committee, Yangkholun Circle submitted a memorandum highlighting most of their major woes.
The memorandum appealed for development of existing IVRs and construction of new ones for better connectivity.
The Minister assured that due surveys would be conducted soon for development of existing IVRs and construction of new ones.
Francis Ngajokpa also travelled along Maram-Peren road to take stock of its existing condition.
Observing that the road was in good shape, he exuded confidence that nearby villages would get a lot of benefit once vehicles start plying on Maram-Peren road.
Speaking at another gathering held at his native village of Willong, Francis Ngajokpa negated all the propaganda floated by some elements about marginalization of certain sections of people by the State Government.
He also assured that a power sub-station would be constructed at Willong village so as to ensure regular power supply to the surrounding villages.
A healthcare centre would be also set up at the village very shortly, he added.
Francis Ngajokpa then advised the gathering to be always wary of the divisive forces scheming to disintegrate Manipur.
He further appealed to all the people to elect leaders from amongst themselves if they are determined to make Tadubi A/C more developed and progressive than the neighbouring villages of Nagaland.
Francis Ngajokpa also distributed a number of articles including GI sheets and blankets to the people of Willong and Bendremai.
In response, people of Bendremai and Willong honoured the RD&PR Minister by presenting two Sandangs (wild or semi-domesticated bulls) .
