Imphal, June 04 2017:
Claiming responsibility for the bomb attack at a place in between H Mongjang and S Khudeng-thabi, Tengnoupal district in which three Assam Rifles personnel were injured yesterday at about 2.30 pm, the proscribe d RPF today said that the attack was carried out by a team of Special Warfare group of the outfit.
In a statement issued to the press today, the outfit claimed that a number of AR personnel were killed and injured in the attack.
Ever since Manipur was annexed by India, 8983 people have been killed by the Indian security personnel under the cover of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act while 1528 people including women and children have been killed in fake encounters, alleged RPF.
Even though the Government of India has been covering up the excesses of the security personnel today this is no longer easy as the international community has taken up the excesses of the security personnel in Manipur, with the issue now being discussed under SARAC and the UN.
On May 4, 2017 the issue was again brought up for discussion in a meeting of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), recalled RPF and added that being driven into a corner, India had to inform that there was a huge debate going on to whether continue with AFSPA or not.
India also fibbed and lied through its teeth on being questioned why AFSPA was needed at all in the region, further alleged RPF.
It is to throw wool over the eyes of the international community that India has today started taking up developmental projects under the guise of doing it for the people, said the statement and added that it has even gone to the extent of changing the Look East Policy to Act East Policy, building roads and bridges, providing employment to the people even absorbing the local people in the security forces and setting up security units in the State.
Even today, especially the Assam Rifles has been carrying out secret killings, and contract killings by using even those involved in crimes against women.
Using these elements the security personnel have been extorting from the public, encouraging drug smuggling to such an extent that there is now the general perception that peace and normalcy will not be there as long as the Assam Rifles personnel are here.
All these are instances of the agenda of the Government of India to keep the people suppressed, it alleged.
History is proof that any uprising against the colonial powers is always on the right track, said RPF and added that no revolutionary will ever feel tired of fighting the nemesis.
The team of the Special Warfare group which carried out the attack have returned safely and they have been hailed by the chief of army staff of the war office, added the statement.
