GPRN/NSCN has alleged that the aggressive behaviour of 164 Territorial Army stationed at Akuhaito and the Assam Rifles at Zunheboto are acting like school bullies in Sumi region particularly at Zunheboto town.
A statement issued by MIP, GPRN/NSCN pointed out that ceasefire Fire between two entities does not mean one party has to constantly provoke the other.
Zunheboto town in the last three years has been one of the most peaceful districts in Nagaland.
There is complete understanding and co-ordination among GPRN/NSCN Regional Authorities, District Administration, general public towards maintaining peace and harmony in Sumi Region.
But the 164th Territorial Army and the Assam Rifles are behaving as though Zunheboto town is under siege, the statement said.
It demanded that unnecessary frisking and raids at residences at odd hours when schoolchildren are preparing for final examinations must stop immediately.
GPRN/NSCN has also demanded the Territorial Army and Assam Rifles personnel not to overstep their duties.
Roaming in civilian dress, collecting information on GPRN/NSCN officials and their residences will be challenged because this is a violation of the Ceasefire ground rules, it added.
Furthermore, GPRN/NSCN cautioned the Territorial Army and the Assam Rifles in Zunheboto not to test the patience of Naga Army and Civil Authorities by waiting and harassing national workers even jungles and in other non civilian areas.
Stop raiding the homes of GPRN/NSCN during peacetime.
There is peace in Zunheboto and therefore hostile attitude should be avoided, the statement added.
