Active cases come down to 153, 15 test positive

Imphal, January 28 2021:
The number of active COVID-19 cases has come down to 153 as the daily fresh infections continue to remain well under 20.Only 15 persons, all civilians including 10 males and 5 females tested positive for coronavirus while 23 recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours.
With the 15 new cases, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Manipur has reached 29,022 while the death toll remains 370 with zero deaths in the last 24 hours.
The number of recovered cases has reached 28,499 and the recovery rate stands at 98.19 percent.
A daily report of the Government COVID-19 Common Control Room issued by Additional Director Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang said that the 15 fresh Covid cases were detected at testing facilities at Tamenglong (6), Churachandpur (2), Shija Hospital (2), JNIMS (1), RIMS (1), Imphal East (1), Escent Diagnostics (1) and Babina Diagnostics (1) .
They hail from Tamenglong (6), Imphal East (3), Bishnupur (2), Churachandpur (2), Kakching (1) and Imphal West (1) .
The 23 recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours include 20 who were under home isolation.
The remaining 3 have been discharged from COVID-19 Care Centres opened at LANVA (2) and SHRI (1).The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 29,022 which include 25,599 civilians and 3,423 Central security personnel.
The total number of recovered cases is 28,499 including 25,089 civilians and 3,410 Central security personnel.
The number of active cases is 153 including 144 civilians and 9 Central security personnel, said the Government Covid report.
