CM assures early solution to ILP issue

Imphal, September 16 2014:
A day after views from Manipur University professors regarding implementation of Inner Line Permit System in the State were sought, the all-political party committee constituted to look into the demand for implementation of ILP system held its fourth meeting in the office chamber of Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam at Secretariat here today.
During the meeting, the views from legal experts of High Court Bar Association were taken.
Their views are considered to be vital as far as implementation of the ILP system is concerned.
The committee will also seek views from experts of All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA) in its next meeting scheduled for September 17.In the next meeting, a threadbare discussion will also be held to file a report on ILP to the Government.

Meanwhile, assuring early solution to the ILP issue, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has pointed out that the All Political Party Committee on ILP has been trying to seek comments and suggestions from academicians and legal experts to solve the ILP issue at the earliest possible.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the 41st foundation day celebration of All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) at Manipur Press Club here, the Chief Minister expressed hope that the issue would be addressed soon with the participation of the Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) which has been spearheading the ILP movement in Manipur.
