Imphal, December 01 2011:
In connection with the death of rickshaw-puller Md Kora in a bomb blast at Palace Compound yesterday, a JAC has been constituted and it has submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister demanding compensation of Rs 10 lakhs.
The JAC further demanded that those who planted the bomb should be booked within December 15 and also to provide a suitable job to the next of kin of the deceased.
JAC convenor Md Zakir Hussain said that they would not claim the corpse of Md Kora until the Government gives a positive response to their demands.
According to late Md Kora's eldest daughter Ibem Janachu, her father had no links with any UG group.
He was an innocent man struggling for life by working as a rickshaw-puller, she said.
Md Kora is survived by three wives and five children.
