Imphal, June 06 2011:
Demanding transfer of black money belonging to Indian nationals but stashed in many foreign banks into the country, BJP Manipur Pradesh staged a protest demonstration at the gate of its office here today under the banner 'One Day Satyagraha Against Corruption' .
Speaking to media persons, BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary Th Shyamo said that they condemn the police crack down on Baba Ramdev's Satyagraha at Ram Maidan, New Delhi, who has been demanding return of the black money stashed in foreign countries so that the same amount could be used for welfare of the country's citizens.
Delhi Police's act of baton charging and firing tear gas shells towards Ramdev and his followers at the instruction of Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit was an inhuman act of brutality, Shyamo said.
Saying that it is the duty of all the citizens to check corruption, Shyamo decried that many people were injured in the police action.
The BJP general secretary alleged that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh is unqualified for his post as he was unable to bring back black money stashed outside the country.

Demanding stashing black money outside which could be otherwise used for welfare of Indian citizens, BJP central leaders have joined the satyagraha since yesterday, Shyama said.
During the last Parliament session, BJP raised the issue of black money stashed in foreign countries two/three times.
The failure of the UPA Government to establish any facts and truths about the black money is an open act of beguiling citizens of the country, he asserted.
