Imphal, September 28 2017:
Thousands of Hindu devotees thronged Hiyangthang Lairembi Temple at Hiyangthang, Imphal West on the occasion of Bor Khurumba today.
Even though the attendance of devotees at the temple was lesser in the morning due to the incessant rainfall, large numbers of devotees turned up soon after the rain had stopped in the afternoon .

Sandhi Puja of Mera lunar month of Manipuri calendar was offered at the Temple itself which began from 7.05 pm of September 27 onwards, as the devotees believe that their wishes would be fulfilled if they get the chance to attend the Puja, commonly known as "Bor" .
The devotees were allowed to enter inside the premises of the temple group-wise, locally known as "Pou namba".
Besides certain measures being taken up by police, traffic sleuths and scouts, local volunteers also assisted in the measures to maintain calm and smooth movement.
