Medical camps conducted

Hqs 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) organised medical camps at Pallel, Yaphou, Kwatha, Moreh and Khenjai villages on March 9 .
A team of doctors and nursing assistants of Hqs 26 Sector Assam Rifles, 11 Assam Rifles, 12 Assam Rifles, 20 Assam Rifles and 4 ASSAM Regiment conducted these camps, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
During the camps, free medical examinations of patients, distribution of medicines, lectures on health and hygiene, counselling sessions and personal interaction with doctors and nursing assistants were carried out.
Around 900 people including women, elderly persons and children from these villages attended the camp.
These locals from far flung villages who are deprived of basic medical facilities and amenities, were benefited hugely from these medical camps, added the press release.
In a similar endeavour, 11 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) organised a free medical aid camp at Chavangphai village in Chandel district under the Military Civic Action programme on March 12 .
A team of doctors and nursing assistants of 11 Assam Rifles conducted this camp.
During the camp, free medical checkup of patients, distribution of medicines, lectures on health and hygiene, counselling sessions and personal interaction with doctors and nursing assistants were undertaken.
Around 224 people including women, elderly persons and children from Chavangphai and nearby villages attended the event.
