The All Naga Students' Association, Manipur has stated that the body is undertaking an indepth education survey programmein the "four Naga hill districts under the administered areas of Manipur" as an academic exercise to collect the actual state of affairs in the "Naga areas".
The survey collection includes the statistical reports of the private schools and the secondary schools and also the actual data of the students, it stated.
The Association urged the constituent units and the subordinate bodies of ANSAM as well as the private schools and secondary schools to cooperate with honesty.
At the same time, it informed all the respective student organisations to submit the statistical reports to the association office at the earliest and added that the exercise is mandatory to be completed within April this year.
While informing the constituent units and subordinate bodies of ANSAM to nominate the names of Naga students residing under the "four Naga hill" districts of Manipur for HSLC 2006 meritorious in memory of Majorlate S Shaiza Exellence Award, the ANSAM in the mean time warned all the constituent units and subordinate bodies to restrain from the upcoming recruitment of graduate teachers on contract basis under the Directorate of school Education, Government of Manipur.
It will not involve itself in the recruitment process under any circumstances, said the Naga student body.
