Imphal College students cry justice for Loitam Richard

Joining the nationwide uproar against the deaths of Richard Loitam and Okram Laba, students of Imphal College staged a demonstration demanding justice at the premises of the college today.
The students burnt the effigies of Chief Minister Okram Ibobi, Home Minister Gaikhangam, Chief Minister of Karnataka, DV Sadananda and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalitha, for allegedly turning a blind eye to the two incidents.
The students shouted slogans like, 'we condemn killings of Richard and Laba', 'punish the culprits' etc.
Richard was found dead inside his hostel room in Bangalore on April 18 .
Okram Laba, a BCA student of Hindustan College of Arts and Science, Chennai was found dead inside his hostel room on June 22 last year.
Quoting post mortem report, Laba's father Okram Indramani while speaking to reporters in the first week of this month had claimed that his son was most probably murdered.
According to him, Laba's hostel mate Ashwin and hostel warden were involved in the alleged murder of Laba.
