NDPP Central Executive Board emergency meeting

Kohima, August 04 2018:
The Central Executive Board of the NDPP held an emergency meeting on 4th August, 2018 along with NDPP MLAs including the Honorable Chief Minister of Nagaland, Mr.Neiphiu Rio.
The meeting adopted the following resolutions:- .
1. All NDPP expresses its deepest condolences to the members of the bereaved families who have lost precious lives during the calamities that took place in different parts of the State in the aftermath of incessant rains.
The party also expresses its concern towards the citizens whose lives have been disrupted due to landslides and floods that have adversely impacted the State.
2. The NDPP extends its appreciation to the State Government and all the government agencies for the tireless efforts in executing disaster management exercises and combating the forces of nature to ease the sufferings of the people.
The NDPP appreciates the fact that the State Government is alive to the situation and all agencies are on high alert for facing any eventuality under the given circumstances.
3. The NDPP extends its appreciation to the Government of India for positively responding to the people of Nagaland by sending the Union MoS (Home) Mr.Kiren Rijiju, who is arriving in the State on 5th August, 2018, to take stock of the overall situation and review the extent of damage caused by the natural calamities.
4. The NDPP shall carry out a statewide fund drive from all rank and file of the party to donate voluntarily in order to contribute towards the Chief Minister's Relief Fund and donate towards relief and rehabilitation of those people who are going through difficulties and are suffering due to the calamities.
5. All NDPP MLAs and all NDPP members who have been appointed to various government positions will contribute one month's salary to the fund drive, which will be donated to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
6. The NDPP further appeals to all concerned to come forward and contribute towards the CM's Relief Fund so that the Naga family can collectively help each other during this difficult period.
It is time for all sections to show our concerns with deeds in whatever manner possible and share the burden collectively.
Let us rise above all differences and supports each other in this hour of crisis.
