Ukhrul, September 19, 2010:
Categorically stating that the KCP-MC (Lanchenba) is not a new outfit, the party has clarified that the party remained inactive and silent for the last 5/6 leaders in the hope that their leader Ngangom Naoba alias Khellen alias Lanchenba would come back and lead the party.
While waiting for the missing leader, the party would retain his name and it would be resuming its activities very soon, said a press release issued by the outfit's publicity and information secretary Lanchen Meitei Chanura.
Lamenting over the acts of assaulting party cadres and handing them over to police commandos when they went to seek monetary assistance or otherwise, the outfit appealed to all concerned to avoid recurrence of such incidents.
Even if people were suspicious about the identity of the aid seekers, their identities may be ascertained from their superiors through telephone.
In case, any more cadre of the party is handed over to police commandos in future, the particular families to which the cadres go should be held solely responsible.
They would be attacked without showing clemency, it said.
Even as the party leader Lanchenba went missing without any trace, his followers have not deviated from the principle and thoughts he espoused.
Saying that its cadres received generous assistance from hill people in interior areas, the outfit conveyed gratitude to the village chiefs and the villagers.
It also pledged all possible assistance from the side of KCP-MC (Lanchenba) as and when any of these villages face hard times.
The outfit appealed to all revolutionary groups of the land for cooperation rather than interfering and putting up obstacles on the path of the outfit.
The KCP-MC (Lanchenba) has a keen desire to work together with all revolutionary groups.
It also appealed to the people for both physical and moral support towards the outfit's campaign against the alien rule.
Meanwhile, the outfit has constituted Lanchenba Investigation Bureau in a meeting of its central committee, and it has adopted three resolutions.
The first resolution is, if the party's founder leader Ngangom Naoba alias Khellen alias Lanchenba Mangang s/o Ng Manihar and Chaoba Devi of Napet Palli comes back within September 2013, the outfit would continue its struggle under his leadership.
In case, Lanchenba does not return within the next three years, the outfit would either merger with another party or suspend its struggle by giving up arms.
The third resolution said that any group challenging or interfering in the affairs of the party in the next three years would be dealt with accordingly thinking this as pre-ordained even though the party hates feud of any kind.
However, this is not any message of challenge to any group, Lanchen Meitei Chanu added.
