Digi-dhan Mela held at Thoubal

Thoubal, April 12 2017:
A one day Digi-Dhan Mela was held today at Basu Ground ,Khangabok ,Thoubal by District Administration Thoubal with the support of the Department of information Technology, Government of Manipur in order to give awareness to the general public about the utility of cashless transaction.
Education Minister Shri Th Radheshyam, Chief Secretary Shri O.Nabakishore ,Commissioner (IT) Shri P.K.Singh and Deputy Commissioner Thoubal ,Shri Shyam Lal Poonia graced the function as Chief Guest ,President & Guests of Honour respectively.

Chief Guest of today's function, Shri Th Radheshyam appealed the people to use local made goods for boosting the economy of the state.
The use of cashless transaction will help in curbing the problem of black money, he added.
President of the event, Chief Secretary Shri O.Nabakishore said that the use of digital card would be immensely beneficial to the public.
A total of 42 stalls took part in the Mela.
State Bank of India and HDFC Bank distributed Point of Sales(PoS) machines to few selected customers.
Prizes were given away to the winners of the Digi-Dhan Contest of Poster, Jingle and Slogan competitions held on 31st March, 2017 at the Counting Hall of the DC Office Complex, Thoubal.
