Training centre inaugurated

The first 'Prime Minister Skill Development Training Centre' was inaugurated by PWD Minister Th Biswajit Singh at Ukhrul DHQs on April 11 .
The Minister was accompanied by his wife Jhunjhun who hails from Ukhrul and was welcomed by Tangkhul Naga Long president Weapon Zimik and chief of Hungpung village AS Peter Wungngayung.
The Minister assured that he will work hard in fulfilling the vision of Prime Minister Modi in providing quality skill training to every youth of the State, reports our correspondent.
He assured that the Centre will help in ushering economic transformation in the State particularly Ukhrul district.
He assured that a stretch of road which is approximately one km long from Ukhrul town to the training centre will be repaired at the earliest.
The inaugural programme was attended by National Coordinator of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Yojana (PMKYV) Hemanta Larma and Tangkhul Naga Long president Weapon Zimik as guests of honour.
Larma outlined the vision of PMKVY training centre and expressed his commitment to provide all possible assistance in | making the training centre at par with any other centre in the country.
Zimik extended gratitude to both the Minister and the National Coordinator for bringing important assets to youth of the district in the form of the training centre.
