COVID-19 vaccination for 18-44 age group begins in Kakching, Thoubal

COVID-19 vaccination for the 18-44 age group began today for Kakching district at Urban Primary Health Centre, Kakching Wairi under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer, Kakching, Thoudem Rajen.
Speaking on the occasion, District Immunisation Officer and District Family Welfare Officer Kakching, Dr Haobam Surjitkumar stated that the aim for the first day of the vaccination drive is 100 beneficiaries of the age group 18-44 years.
The COVID-19 vaccination for the 18-44 age group would be conducted every Wednesday at Urban Primary Health Centre Kakching and Health & Wellness Centre Waikhong in Kakching district.

Similarly, COVID-19 vaccination for the 18-44 age group was also launched for Thoubal district at the Health and Wellness Centre in Khangabok Part III Khunou today.
It was jointly organised by District Administration Thoubal and District Health Society Thoubal.
Speaking on the occasion, District Family Welfare Officer, Dr Ksh Memcha appealed to the people in the 18-44 age group to register on-line and get themselves vaccinated at the earliest.
Dr Ksh Memcha mentioned that the vaccination for the 18-44 age group would be conducted every Wednesday at the Health and wellness Centres in Thoubal Wangkhem and Khangabok Part 3 .
Vaccination for the age group 45 and above would continue as usual at the vaccination centres, she added.
It may be mentioned that 200 beneficiaries were vaccinated for the first day.
