Kakching, December 17 2017: Sahitya Seva Samiti, Manipur has notified that its 51st foundation day will be observed on January 15, 2018 with distribution of various awards to writers across the State .

Yambem Mani Sahitya award will be awarded to Manaobi MM for the book "Nupigi Thamoi" .

Yendrembam Surlata Purushkar (short story and novel) will be awarded to Sarungbam Binodini for her book "Ahingsina Loidringei" .

Chingkhu Moirangleima Ningshing Kabirdas award (poetry) will be awarded to Naorem Romina for her book titled "Manggi Machusing" .

Kshteri Chaoba Translation award will be awarded to K Omnath Singh for translating "Ram Charit Manas" .

Kshetri Ongbi Nalini Sahitya award will be awarded to Wangkhem Birmanggal for his book "Takhelgi Puwarida Manipuri" .

Chandrashakhi Chumthang Sahitya award given to articles contributed to the yearly magazine 'Chumthang' will be awarded to Pukhrambam Kunjo Singh for his article "Khungang amasung Manipuri Khorirol, DD Ningthouja for Sorat (short story), Thokchom Chandra for Mit Taanglaba Matam" (poetry) .

Awardees have to submit one passport photograph along with bio-data one or before December 25, 2017 said a statement issued by the secretary, Sahitya Seva Samiti, Manipur, Y Nilachandra Singh.
