CAU bags 13th position among 74 agri universities

Imphal, July 18 2018:
Central Agricultural University (CAU) Imphal has ranked 13th position amongst 74 agricultural universities in the country including deemed universities.
A press release issued by Director of Instruction, CAU stated that the ranking was give by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi on the basis of academic, research and extensive performance on the existing agricultural universities in the country.
CAU Imphal, being a centre of excellence in hill agriculture in the North Eastern hill region, has proved successful in producing 109 Agricultural research Scientists (ARS) and also held second position thrice in All India ranking in ICAR-JRF examination in 2011, 2014 and 2016 .
It stated that the university has developed 94 farmer friendly technologies and 380 location specific recommendations.
Prof M Premjit Singh, Vice Chancellor of the university congratulated the faculty and staff of the university for their devotion and hard work and appealed the staff and students and all individuals concerned to make the university among the top three in the coming years.
