Training programme conducted

The Central Agricultural University, All India Coordinated Research Project (AICRP) on MULLaRP, Directorate of Research in collaboration with Young Vaiphei Association (YVA), Leilon Block conducted one day training programme on Improvement Practices for Cultivation of Kharif and Rabi Pulses in hilly areas of Manipur at Leilon Vaiphei Village in Kangpokpi District yesterday.
The programme was attended by 100 farmers from the Leilon area.
During the training session, resource persons Dr M Samuel Jeberson scientist Plant Breeding and Mr Th Napoleon M Sc in Plant Breeding trained the participants on various mechanisms for the improvement of Kharif and Rabi pulses with specific focus to hilly areas of Manipur.
Some Kharif pulses seeds were distributed to the participants for free as a part of the programme.
YVA extended gratitude to the departments concerned for conducting such training programmes.
