RPF claims hand in triggering bomb blasts

The proscribed RPF has claimed its hand in the series of bomb blasts which were reported from different parts of the State in the run up to the Republic Day and the Republic Day.
The bomb blasts near Khurai Lamlong bridge at 8 pm of January 20, near the crematorium complex of Nagamapal Singjubung Leirak at 11 am of January 21, at the gate of 27 Sector AR camp at Torbung Bangla under Churachandpur police station at around 6 am of January 22, on Nambul river bank near Keishamthong Laisom Leirak at around 4.30 pm of January 23, on Nambul river bank near Sagolband Meino Leirak at around 7.30 am of January 24, Imphal river bank near Yaiskul firing range at 10 am of January 24, Nambul river bank near Keishamthong Moirang Ningthou Leirak at 9.30 am of January 25, near Khuyathong Pukhri Achouba Mapal crematorium at 7 am of January 26, Imphal river bank near Yaiskul Hicham Yaicham Pat on January 26, Imphal river bank near Hatta Golapati at around 8.3 0 am of January 26, Imphal river bank near KR Lane at 9 am of January 26, paddy fields of Wangjing Purana Heitup Pokpi Mamang Leirak, near Bishnupur DC office at 9 am ofJ anuary 2 6 and the bomb blasts at two different places of Digboi town, Tinsukia district of Assam on January 21 were jointly carried out by ULFA(I)and RPF.
A press release issued by RPF Publicity Secretary Roben Kiruinan said that they carried out the bomb attacks in line with the common decision of CorCom, NDFB (S) and ULFA (I) to prohibit celebration of Republic Day in WESEA.
