Eid-Ul-Zuha greetings

Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla has greeted the people of Manipur, especially the Muslim brethren, on the auspicious occasion of Eid-Ul-Zuha.
The Governor in her greetings said that Eid-Ul-Zuha is one of the most important festivals of the Muslims and is celebrated with dedication and enthusiasm throughout the world.
She conveyed that the festival commemorates the willingness of prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his beloved son Ismail as an act of obedience towards God.
"Let us forget our differences and usher in an era of peace and harmony in Manipur," said Najma.
Lok Sabha MP Dr T Meinya also greeted the people on the occasion.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Deputy CM Y Joykumar too greeted the people on the occasion with the message to spread love, harmony, brotherhood and peaceful coexistence.
In his message the Chief Minister wished for unity for all the people in a spirit of common brotherhood to serve the cause of humanity for a more peaceful and prosperous Manipur.
Speaker Yumnam Khemchand also wished the people on the occasion of Eid-Ul-Zuha, also called "festival of sacrifice" and extended his best wishes.
Works Minister Th Biswajit Singh also greeted the Muslim brethren and prayed for the dawn of harmony, prosperity and everlasting peace in the State.
MAHUD Minister Th Shyamkumar also extended his wishes and greetings to the people of the State on the occasion.
Shiv Sena Manipur State, North East India Development Party (NEIDP), All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU), Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) and Muslim Rashtriya Manch (MRM) also conveyed their wishes to the Muslim brothers and sisters on the occasion.
