Moreover, the Agriculture and Horticulture Departments have remained defunct for the last 30 years, thus depriving the people of any possible benefits from these departments.
On the other hand, the Fisheries and Veterinary Departments are running with just 1/2 staffs.
As a result, people of the district faced untold miseries at time of outbreak of diseases among livestock.
Even though Tamenglong is place with abundant water resource, yet the water supply system has completely failed in the district, she added.
With exception of Economics and Political Science teachers in the College of Tamenglong, there are no other teachers.
At such, students have suffered in their lessons.
There are also no separate hostels for boys and girls, Ngeile said.

Apart from 10 nurses and one Medical Officer, there are also no specialist doctors in the lone Tamenglong district hospital, he pointed, and added that the existing market in the district headquarters has become outdated.
Talking to mediapersons on the sideline of the inspection, President of ICHAM Rajendro pointed out that the road connecting the Tamenglong district head quarters with rest of the world has not been repaired for the last 20-30 years and the condition has worsen.
