Imphal, January 27 2013 :
While claiming responsibility for the serial blasts which took place on the eve of 64th Republic Day celebration, Coordination Committee (CorCom) of seven UG groups (viz, KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK (Pro), RPF, UNLF & UPPK) today said that the Committee would continue the war against India and its armed forces.
In a statement, Media Coordinator of CorCom H Poirei said that CorCom was responsible for the four bomb blasts that took place on 25th January and the another blast that went off near the front gate of Wangbal's 3rd IRB camp on the day Republic Day celebration at 9.05am yesterday.
The first and the second blast on January 25 took place inside 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles complex, where the main celebration of the event was to be held, and at Keishamthong Longjam Leirak along Nambul River bank at 7:25am and 10.15 am respectively.
While the third and fourth blasts occurred near Palace Compound's RDS School gate and at Chingmeirong near Gauhati High Court at 10.45 am and 8.00 pm respectively, Poirei recalled.
Poirei said that CorCom and other revolutionary groups, who are fighting for independence in the Western South East Asia countries, would continue to boycott the republic Day celebration of India.
Stating that celebration of India's Republic Day in Manipur where 'freedom fighter groups' are waging war for independence, is India's ploy to show to the entire world that Manipur is part of it, Poirei contended and appealed to the people of the State for 'full support' in the boycott of such celebration in future as well.
