Students stage sit-in protest on disappearance of a class VII student

Imphal, April 23 2012:
Reacting against the disappearance of a class VII student of Don Bosco School, Chingmeirong, students of the school today staged a sit-in protest demanding safe release of the student if he were abducted.
It may be mentioned that Takhellambam Rahul (12) son of Sunil has been missing since April 21 after he left for school from Don Bosco Hostel.
Chamdan Golmei, a classmate of Rahul told reporters that they were shocked and surprised when Rahul could not be found on that day.
He appealed for releasing Rahul if any individual or or organisation abducted him and allow him sit for the examinations which would begin from tomorrow.
Charles, a hostelmate of Rahul appealed to the civil society organisations and the people of the state to help in finding Rahul.
Placards that read "Leave Children to study in Peace", "Where are you Rahul?", "Come Back Rahul", "Please help us to find our Rahul" and "Bhai Rahul Eikhoibu Kaorabara, Hallaklo Thuna Exam Thadoure" were used in the sit-in protest.
