All educational institutes to remain suspended

In the wake of COVID-19 outbreak and as precautionary measures, classes of all educational institutes of higher education including universities shall remain suspended until further orders, an office memorandum issued by the Higher and Technical Education Department has stated.
To address the growing apprehension amongst student, parents and teachers, the department has deliberated upon the matter on numerous occasions and has issued instructions that colleges/universities that have adopted or are gradually resorting to online teaching-learning procedure through e-learning tools like MOODLE, Zoom, Google Classroom, etc shall continue to do so and scale it up wherever possible.
All colleges shall ensure that study materials are made available on college websites/whatsapp groups/e-mails, etc by the respective teachers of all departments/colleges.
All colleges are to prepare college specific contingency plans like extra classes on lifting of lockdown, ensuring social distance, washing of hands, etc.
All colleges are also directed to set up helplines for mental health, psychological aspects and well-being of students and to regularly monitor the same by identified faculty members.
All heads of educational institutions are to ensure widespread dissemination of information to students, faculty members, staffs and their family members regarding Aarogya Setu App and protocol for immunity boosting measures and self-care for kids by Ministry of AYUSH.
All college principals shall also be in constant touch with University & Higher Education Director and Registrar of concerned affiliating universities and other regulatory authorities.
An action taken report on compliance of the above instructions shall be submitted by colleges to concerned authority.
