Imphal, May 11 2020:
Any person having ILI (influenza like illness) such as fever, cough, sore throat and runny nose would be tested for COVID-19 as per the latest ICMR guidelines for COVID-19 test.
According to the latest ICMR guidelines, all symptomatic individuals who have undertaken international travel in the last 14 days, all symptomatic contacts of laboratory confirmed cases, all symptomatic health care workers, all patients with Severe Acute Respiratory illness, asymptomatic direct and high-risk contacts of a confirmed case too should be tested for COVID-19 .
Meanwhile a press release issued by State Surveillance Officer/IDSP Dr L Tomcha Khuman said that all passengers entering Manipur would undergo thermal screening at Mao and Jiribam.
All the asymptomatic passengers after screening would be sent for community quarantine/home quarantine for 14 days.
Any symptomatic passenger or person having ILI would be placed in isolation ward/facility for testing, it said.
