4 hospitalised after eating mushroom

As many as 4 members of a family at Thoubal Khunou Makha Leikai under Thoubal police station were admitted to Thoubal District hospital today after they ate mushroom plucked from their courtyard.
The ailing family members have been identified as Moirangthem Ibeni (76), wife of M.Tomba Singh; her son M.Ibomcha (40), daughter-in law Apabi (40) and grandson M.Biten (14), who is studying in class VIII in KM Blooming School, Khangabok.
As informed by Moirangthem Ibeni, she had plucked the mushroom from her courtyard beneath a chicken shed and steamed on rice before eating it at around 11 today morning.
She said, four of them started vomiting severely with her grandson Biten returning home from school with the same complaint.
Around 2 pm, they were brought to the District Hospital Thoubal.
Saying that the mushrooms they ate might be poisonous wild mushroom, hospital officials informed that the conditions of the four family members are out of danger.
