Biswajit exhorts youth to strive hard

Works Minister Thongam Biswajit Singh has exhorted the youth to strive hard to achieve their goals and bring changes in the society.
He said this while attending the Sapphire Jubilee Celebration of Keithelmanbi Youth Association at Brigadier Sirohi Ground at Keithelmanbi village under Kangpokpi district today.
Speaking as the chief guest at the celebration function, Biswajit said that youth should play a significant role in the society to touch the hearts to be remembered by the generations to come as our forefathers did.
He said that they should amplify both mental and physical energy to bring changes in the society and inherit good values for Nation building.
Acknowledging Manipur as the power house of sports by the Centre, he asserted that youth should also have a positive intention and fight discrimination which will help to bring growth in the society.
The Minister maintained that education is the backbone of the society and youth should work hard with a positive thought to achieve their goals.
He further said that the present Government is committed to bringing new development in the State.
Acting on the complains addressed in a memorandum submitted to him by the people there, the Minister assured that the concerned roads will be black-topped at the earliest and new lanes will also be marked for smooth connectivity.
Households without electric connection in and around Keithelmanbi will also be electrified free of cost in consultation with the local MLA, he declared.
The Minister also elaborated on the benefits of Saubhagya and Ujawala Schemes.

Attended the occasion as president, Social Welfare Minister Nemcha Kipgen said that youth are the pillar of the Nation and all need to have a collective mindset involving youth, women and elders to bring inclusive development in the society.
Keithelmanbi being the largest but least developed village, Minister Nemcha Kipgen made an assurance that she will make the village a model village and will upgrade the high school if the criteria to upgrade permits.
As part of the programme, cultural dances and songs were performed by the locals.
The celebration function was also attended by village chiefs, students and locals.
