Imphal, June 24 2011:
Continous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system is going to be implemented at XII level from this year.
In this regard, COHSEM organised a one day orientation programme on Implementation of CCE at +2 Level today at the office premises of the council.
Babudhon Sapamcha, Joint Secretary (Academic), Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur told the media that the overall performance of students in the 2011 HSE was not satisfactory over all.
He admitted that with the implementation of CCE at X level, the pass percentage of HSLCE, 2011 was very high in Manipur.
So implementation of CCE at +2 level will definitely benefit the higher secondary students and the pass percentage of higher secondary exams in 2013 will be high, he added.
He further admitted that if the system of CCE is implemented sincerely and effectively then it will surely benefit both the students and the teachers, but it has some negative aspects.
He cautioned that the CCE is a very good system to improve the students and teachers, so it is necessary for students and teachers to have a coordination.
