FNR appeals political groups to restore peace in Nagas areas

The Forum for Naga Reconciliation South Naga (FNR) in a press statement appeaed to all Naga political groups and factions to extend cooperation in restoring peace in all Nagas areas in general and Khoupum Valley in Tamenglong district in particular.
The released signed by Rev.Kaiba Riamei, Member Forum for Naga Reconciliation South Naga said that a journey of Common Hope under one umbrella of FNR is on progress.
Christmas and New Year celebrations are most important events on the year for Christians around the world which is recognised and observed by all irrespective of cast and religion.
On this festive occasion the FNR requested all the warring groups to maintain peace and harmony in this important festive season.
While whishing Happy Christmass and prosperous New Year, Rev.Kaiba request all church leaders, public leaders and civil organisation to extent fullest cooperation to bring real peace through reconciliation in the name of Jesus Christ the prince of Peace.
He said the general council of the Baptist World Alliance of 120 countries meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, July 4- 9, 2009 resolved to support the Naga reconciliation progress adding that BWA has decided to bring to the forefront the Naga conflict as one of the most important issue in the world and continuing reconciliation process between the conflicting Naga groups in the North East India and Burma.
