Imphal, January 23, 2012:
While claiming responsibility for the bomb blast at the residence of Congress candidate I Hemochandra last night, the Coordination Committee (CorCom) of KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK (Pro), RPF, UNLF and UPPK has cautioned that people may come across more attacks of greater intensity if they do not stay away from Congress.
Maintaining that it had already cautioned the people through mass media and leaflets, the CorCom, nevertheless, condoled the dead and casualties caused by last night's blast.
A release issued by CorCom's media coordinator H Poirei reiterated that no one should work or join house campaign for Congress party.
Womenfolk should stop misusing the name of Meira Paibi and stop keeping vigil over Congress candidates and refrain themselves from staging waakat meephams.
Congress workers, polling agents as well as those involved in opening polling stations and distribution of cash for Congress candidates would never go unpunished though the punishment may come before or after the elections.
Candidates and other parties should not forge any pre or post poll alliance with Congress party.
The general election on January 28 is an opportunity to identify those people who would like to sell off Manipur to India.
ACs which elect Congress candidates would be construed as dominated by people who support Congress and who have no qualms to sell off the land for their own selfish ends.
The CorCom would keep special vigil on these constituencies.
It also warned transport agencies against lending vehicles to Congress.
