Sit-in protest staged over issue of bogus voting

Imphal, February 27 2012:
A sit-in protest demonstration was staged at the Yumjao Lairembi Community Hall of Keishampat Keisham Leikai here today pressing ECI to resolve the issue of bogus voting.
The sit-in protest demonstration was carried out by the workers and functioneries of 10 non-Congress political parties from 10 am to 3 pm.
The protest demonstration was attended by various workers and leaders of the 10 non-Congress political parties including Dr Nimaichand Luwang, President, MPP; Th Chaoba, Ex-MP; MLA of Konthoujam A/C K Sarat; Indrakumar, General Secretary, JD-U; Athon Abomei of NPF; L Sotinkumar of CPI and S Tiken, Vice President, BJP, Manipur State Unit.
Addressing the congregation,many of the speakers pointed out that the sit-in protest was being staged to demonstrate against use of unfair means to fight the election.
They also pointed out that the taking of photos of the electorates at the time of casting their votes in the recent election, which was carried out for the first time in India, has proved to be a cause for quarrel and fight among the people.
If this is the case, why did ECI brought up the idea of taking photograph of the electorates in the first place.
Manipur is not a place where the ECI can carry out its experiment.
